Welcome to Marycuterie!

Hello and welcome — I’m so happy you’re here.

Starting this blog has been on my mind for a while, and it feels special to finally create a space where I can share a little more of me, not just Marycuterie. This will be a place where food, celebrations, travel, family, and everyday moments come together — the things that inspire my work and the way I approach gathering around the table.

How Marycuterie Began

Marycuterie began over four years ago as a creative side hustle alongside my full-time career as a Chartered Professional Accountant. While numbers may be my day job, food has always been my passion.

I truly believe food is one of the most meaningful love languages — a way to gather, to celebrate, and to show care without saying a word.

We eat with our eyes first.

That belief guides everything I create, from thoughtfully styled grazing boards to the way each table is designed to feel inviting, abundant, and memorable.

The Heart Behind the Scenes

Behind the scenes of Marycuterie is my husband, George. I honestly couldn’t do this without his constant support. From helping with deliveries and heavy lifting to jumping in wherever he’s needed, he keeps me grounded and cheering me on every step of the way.

This journey has very much been a team effort, and I’m endlessly grateful for him.

Simple Moments That Inspire Me

Outside of grazing boards and celebrations, some of my favourite moments are the simplest ones — morning coffee, a good glass of wine, time spent with family, and travelling with George whenever we can.

Paris holds a special place in my heart, especially Montmartre. Wandering its streets, soaking in the atmosphere, and slowing down felt like pure magic.

Italy also holds a special place in my heart. Having visited many times, its cuisine, sense of abundance, and effortless approach to gathering have deeply shaped Marycuterie.

The way food is meant to be shared slowly and beautifully continues to influence how I curate boards, style tables, and create experiences that feel warm and inviting.

As an Armenian, there is a deep pull toward Armenia. It is a place I hope to experience more fully one day. Its rich food culture, history, and spirit of hospitality are part of my heritage and a continuing source of inspiration.

These experiences continue to shape how I approach gatherings — thoughtfully, beautifully, and always with intention.

Where My Love of Food Began

My love of food started long before Marycuterie ever had a name.

My mom was my greatest food influence. She was creating beautiful, abundant tables long before there was even a word like tablescape. Watching her bring people together around food taught me that some of the most meaningful moments happen right at the table.

The Story Behind the Name

And if you’re wondering where the name Marycuterie came from (and no, neither Cuterie nor Charcuterie are my last name — despite what many people think!), I’ll be sharing that story very soon.
